Artist Statement

The portraits are separated into human, mythological, and zoomorphic imagery. The human portraits are referencing my personal misanthropic tendency. The humans represent the work of politics, confusion, and paranoia. These figures also refer to aspects of my own struggles with coping with socially divergent or deviant personality traits. The mythological portraits are referencing my attempt to make sense of our reality through theological, mystical, and esoteric frameworks. I’ve made a lot of my personal sense of the world through myth. Lastly the animal portraits, are implying absolute truth devoid of our human influence.
